The day has finally arrived. By the time you read this, we will be engaged in vacation embarkation as we start our Disney cruise in the Mediterranean. So here's a quick note about the word "embark."
Embark means "to set out on a venture; commence." More specifically, it tends to mean "to go aboard a vessel or aircraft, as at the start of a journey." The word comes from the Latin in + barca (meaning boat).
Here's to the start of a new journey. I'll be taking a break from my normal blogging schedule over the next few weeks while we travel, but I will likely post photos and thoughts here about what we see and learn. It'll be an adventure.
